From unexpected places…
I enjoy history, special historical records that demonstrate how we have been, compared to the way we are now – as human minds and spirits. What I see is a declining trend, a blinding, a denial of the essence of spirituality – leaving us with only the animal instincts of earth-bound entities. The decline is unsustainable, as we lose our guidance and purpose.
I never expected to find the acumen of sharing important knowledge, at just the right time for me. There it was, marilynkaydennis dot wordpress dot com. I say unexpected because I wasn’t researching – just reading comments on my favorite blogs.
If you share my desire to learn, or simply want to feel history as though you are there, start with her post, Music from Heaven (2 parts). No, I do not know her personally and she does not know I’m writing this. This is a gift to you.
Thank you for the suggestion I am going to hop over and check it out!
Hi! Found the new blog. And I’ll check out Marilyn. But as for this comment- “What I see is a declining trend, a blinding, a denial of the essence of spirituality – leaving us with only the animal instincts of earth-bound entities.”
I just see things a little differently than you. I think humans have ALWAYS been this way, and slowly but surely pull themselves up out of this state of being “earth-bound entities.” And I think it’s with the help of 4-legged angels.
You could also be right, Rumpy! I’ve experienced Guardians in my life, and some were 4-legged, and didn’t all live with me! Life is incredibly awesome in plain sight – we just have to grow enough to see everything behind all the distractions flashing for attention. Just between us, I would be in shock if I discovered all our 4-legged friends are earth bound.
I think you’ll really like Marilyn.
Thank you June for mentioning my blog. But I’m intrigued; what was the comment that struck a chord with you? Or is that too personal?
Too many comments to pick just one. It’s like visiting a historical neighborhood of souls that understands the world I see behind the facade of so-called modern life. I reckon it is very personal from the stand point of being rare to notice the words and intent of religious thought today is nothing more than recitation toward the posturing to claim good over evil. At least the intent is positive, in my opinion.
If more had a closer view of God, they would behave as they had.
Because of the unsustainable choices made by mankind, the time will come soon by necessity as perceptions will rapidly change. I do not know the mind of God; I know enough as His child I will follow him, unless by the free-will given to me, I walk away. That’s about as personal as anything in life can be – everything else is biology.
Hi,
Yes I read Marilyn’s blog, and you are so right, it is full of wonderful and amazing bits of history.
